JSC Intramural - Program and Format

JSC Intramural Program and Format


We are a Volunteer organization and strongly encourage parents to volunteer. 
We have professional trainers that run the Peanuts, Mini Kickers and Micro divisions.
Parents in these division are asked to support the trainer.

Parent coaches are required in the Collegiate, Major League, and Premier divisions coach teams.
The training staff will train Collegiate, Major League, and Premier teams on Wednesday evenings.

Training sessions will focus on individual development & team building. 
This is a Recreational program for beginner to more advanced players.

Division

Format (All Divisions will span 8 playing weeks.)

Peanuts Program
$150

    Pre K
    Ages 3-5

  • Meets once per week on Saturday mornings at typically 8:30 AM**
  • Sessions structured with fun soccer-related activities & scrimmages
  • Sessions will last 50 minutes.
  • Coed 
  • No Practice Mid-week
  • Shirt & socks provided
  • Participation Award at the end of the season

Mini Kickers
$150


 Kindergarten     & 1st Grade

  • Meets once per week on Saturday Mornings (typically 9:30 am)
  • Sessions structured in play-practice-play format promoting activity and maximizing the number of ball touches for each player. 
  • sessions will last 50 minutes
  • Coed 
  • No Practice Mid-week
  • Shirt & socks provided
  • Participation Award at the end of the season.

Micro Kickers
$150

 2nd & 3rd     Grade

  • Meets once per week on Saturday Mornings between 9:30am and 12pm
  • Alternates weekly between:
    Full play-practice-play format session
    -  Training/warm up before 5v5 or 7v7 “small-sided” game

  • mostly Coed teams

  • shirt socks provided

  • Volunteer coaches are encouraged to hold mid week practices on Wed. nights.  (This is encouraged but not mandatory) Jackson Mills micro fields are available 5pm-8pm if a team chooses to host practices.  

  • Participation Award at the end of the season.

Collegiate
$190

 4th & 5th Grade

 

  • Games held once per week on Saturdays between 9-11:30 AM**
  • Coed teams.
  • Coaches are encouraged to meet with their team 30 minutes before games to warm up and practice. 
  • Wednesday night practices led by Tecnica Training staff (typically 6-8pm)
  • Shirt socks provided
  • Participation Award at the end of the season.

Major League $190

 6th-8th Grade

 

  • Games held once per week on Saturday Mornings 10:30 or 11:30 AM**
  • Coaches are encouraged to meet with their team 30 minutes before games to warm up and practice.
  • Wednesday night practices led by Tecnica Training staff (typically 6-8pm)
  • Shirt socks provided
  • Participation Award at the end of the season.

Premier
$190

 9th-12th Grade
Max age 17.

  • Training once per week on Wednesday at 8 PM**
  • Games held once per week on Saturday no later than 12:30 PM**
  • Shirt socks provided

** Times are shown at the current plan but are subject to change based on enrollments.


What You Need to Play

  • Players are required to have shin guards & cleats.
  • Players should bring their own ball to sessions.
  • Please bring re-usable water bottles. 
  • Please put your child's name on their ball & equipment 3X. 
  • Make sure you leave the field with your Childs equipment.
  • If you see trash please pick it up.
** We cannot guarantee Shirt & Socks for late registrations. ***
Uniforms are ordered in bulk several weeks prior to the start of the season. 
This is a recreation league and we do our best to accommodate the children of the community.    
We ask that players wear matching color shirt if  we cannot provide one.  


   (Please put your child's name on their ball)
  • Peanuts & Mini Kickers use a Size 3 ball. 
  • Micro Kickers use size 3 or 4 balls
  • Collegiate Division use a Size 4 ball
  • Major League and Premiere use a Size 5 ball.


    1. Team Assignments: We plan to release the team assignments ten days prior to the start of the season. 
    2. Player, teammate, coach requests cannot be honored unless there is extenuating circumstances.  (exceptions are siblings/family members playing together or other circumstances that would prevent the child from being able to play) 
    3. We do our best to honor requests; however, it may not be possible to honor every request as teams are structured to balance grade, age, roster size, and skill.
    1.  Game Schedules: Will be released shortly after team assignments are released. When the schedule is released, please contact your coach directly if you are unable to attend a game due to other commitments. Coaches please have a backup plan if you are unable to attend. Please communicate with your teams to keep them current on times and changes
    1. Rain or Weather related schedule changes will be communicated by bulk email and social media posts. Please be patient and wait for an email or post on Facebook.  If a cancellation/postponement is not communicated assume practice/game is on as scheduled. We have and will play in the rain. 
  •     Uniforms: Each player will receive a game jersey that is worn on game day and a pair of soccer socks. Please make sure that your child has shin-guards that can be worn under the sock, along with soccer cleats (non-metal) –  sneakers are okay for Pre-K & K! Friendly reminder that all jewelry (especially earrings) will need to be removed to participate.  Late registrations may not receive matching shirts/socks as uniform orders must be placed well in advance of the season.
